The Chancellory is home to the Vice-Chancellor's Office, Global Planning and Strategy Centre, Bright Sparks Unit, Legal Unit, Internal Audit Unit, International Corporate Relations Office, Security Office, University of Malaya Centre for Continuing Education (UMCCeD), PALAPES, UMPress, International Student Centre (ISC), Department of Malaysia Studies @ Cairo University and UM Environmental Secretariat.

There are four Deputy Vice- Chancellor's Office, each handling specialised and important roles in UM, namely: Academic & International, Research & Innovation, Student Affairs, and Development.

The Registry is made up of: the Registrar's Office, Academic Division, Admission & Records Section, Examinations Section, Human Resources Division, Administration & Finance Department and the Occupational Safety & Health Unit.

The Bursary handles all the financial administrative duties in the University, ensuring that the University's transactions are promptly executed.

University of Malaya Quality Management & Enhancement Centre (QMEC) based on the framework and requirements of MS ISO 9001:2000 has been in operation since June 2001. QMEC encompasses all the core processes in UM which includes teaching and learning, research and consultative activities and other supporting services. Visit QMEC website.
