The Department of Publications, University of Malaya, also known as the University of Malaya Press is the printing and publishing house of the University of Malaya. Since 1954, the department has printed and published numerous academic works for the furtherance of knowledge acquisition, advancement and dissemination. In addition to printing and publishing scholarly books and journals, the department also publishes into electronic files.
The department plays an active and important part in helping UM to fulfil it's corporate mission, "to be a premier university seeking excellence in the advancement and dissemination of knowledge to meet the aspirations of the nation." The department supports academicians by providing editorial, pre-press and printing services.
