Programme Structure

The academic programme is by the semester system and it commences in September (for Semester 1) and February(for semester 2). A total of 120 to 140 credit hours are required to complete a degree programme. The medium of instruction is in English (for science based related courses). Social Science based programmes however may use the Malay Language.

All international students are required to undergo compulsory Malay and English courses ranging from 4 to 6 months. These courses will be conducted by the University commencing from May to August or/and October to January. Students with a TOEFL score of 550 and above or IELTS Band 6 and above or General Certificate of Secondary Education (O Level), University of Cambridge with a minimum of C6 and above or General Certificate of Education (A Level), University of Cambridge with a pass may be exempted from the English language courses.
