Applicants using qualifications acquired from Sudan for their applications into our degree programmes, will be required to send their applications directly to our Sudan Offshore Office for pre-processing at the address of UM Offshore Office (Sudan) as indicated below (Service Provided are FREE):

All online applications sent to University of Malaya (UM) will be automatically redirected by UM to our Sudan Offshore Office for pre-processing. After obtaining confirmation of applicants educational background, accuracy of certificates submitted, completeness of application documents, it will be forwarded to UM for processing.
Applicants from Sudan using qualifications obtained from other countries will not be required to use the services of our Offshore Office.
*Commencing on 15th January 2011, the offshore office (Sudan) of the University of Malaya will provide free service for all international students obtaining qualifications acquired from Sudan. Please utilize the services rendered for consultation and verification of documents regarding application. |

The services provided by offshore office includes:
-to ensure the materials of application are accurate, up-to-date and approved by UM
- to update the progress of application status
- to provide all relevant information of study at UM
- to introduce the culture, education system, and others about Malaysia
- to advise new student on registration matters
- to guide new student on necessary permit/ visa application
- to advise UM on the qualification and education system of applicant from Sudan
- to check with the schools/ colleges/ universities on the applicants status and educational background
- to verify certificates with authorities in Sudan to overcome submission of fraudulent certificates

| Note: Applicants are advised to arrange the transfer of processing fee and postage of documents by themselves. Should there be any necessities for employing the offshore office other than the above mentioned services upon your request, the agreement is between both parties. Thus, the university is not responsible for the fees charged. |
