Mathematics is the common language of science, and many a theory is expressed, debunked and redeemed by the infallible truth of numbers. This programme aims to produce undergraduates with a solid foundation in Mathematics and a strong ability to solve practical as well as formulated problems.
The programme aims to produce undergraduates with a strong background in the Mathematical sciences and to produce graduates with problem-solving abilities to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world.
This programme is a major in Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial and Computational Mathematics. Upon graduation, candidates will be conferred with Bachelor of Science degree.
“Learning Mathematics trains our mind to operate in a logical and systematic manner. As a trained mathematician, when I face any problem, I will try to ‘analyse’ it as well as look for an optimum solution. In other words I have become more sensible and capable of managing my life in a successful way.” Tan Yip Seng,Class of 93/94.
