The Centre for Foundation Studies in Science, founded in 1977 prepares pre-university students with a comprehensive foundation education in science and mathematics for entrance to universities in Malaysia.
One of two main programmes conducted at the Centre, the Science programme has seen over 2,000 doctors, 800 dentists and 2,600 engineers progress through the programme and graduate from the University of Malaya.
In addition to the Science programme, the Centre also offers a G-G programme between Malaysia and Japan, which prepares students for the Monbukagakusho examination, the special entrance exam needed to enter Japanese Universities. The Centre has successfully enrolled 2,100 students into Japanese universities since 1984.
