UM Students Participate in LONGi Clean Energy Sharing Session

Students from Faculty of Engineering recently participated in the LONGi & UM Workshop: Clean Energy Evolution – Breakthroughs in PV and Storage held at LONGi Office in TRX, Kuala Lumpur on 20 May 2026. The programme was organized to provide students with greater exposure to advancements in renewable energy technologies, particularly in the areas of solar photovoltaics (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

The session featured insightful presentations by industry expert Mr Alex Lim, who shared valuable knowledge on solar energy fundamentals, emerging clean energy technologies, and innovative energy storage solutions currently shaping the global sustainability landscape. Participants also had the opportunity to engage in an interactive question-and-answer session, allowing them to gain deeper understanding of the renewable energy sector and future industry trends.

The workshop served as an important platform to strengthen industry-academia engagement while exposing students to real-world applications and career opportunities within the clean energy and sustainability sector. Through initiatives such as this, Universiti Malaya continues to empower students with industry-relevant knowledge and practical insights aligned with future technological developments.
