UNIVERSITI MALAYA PARTICIPATES IN URIIS 2026 PRE-EVENT SERIES 5
UM participated in the Industry–University Research & Innovation Investment Dialogue (URIIS) 2026 Pre-Event Series 5, held on 10 June 2026 at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Pekan, Pahang.
Themed “Empowering East Coast: Smart Industry, Local Innovation,” the programme brought together universities, industry leaders, and government stakeholders to explore potential research collaborations, innovation investments, and technology commercialization.
The discussions focused on strategic sectors including advanced mobility, aerospace, agri-tech, biotechnology, digital economy, sustainable energy, halal technology, biodiversity, and defence technology. The dialogue also addressed industry challenges, funding opportunities, and pathways to enhance industry-university partnerships.
As part of the lead-up to URIIS 2026, the event provided a valuable platform for fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and government while supporting Malaysia’s innovation-driven growth agenda.
