Scholarships & Loans Unit

Objectives:
 

1. To provide information on financial sponsorship to local Undergraduate Students.
   • Scholarships and loans are offered by government organizations, private companies and the University for undergraduate students.
   • Information on scholarships / loans can be obtained from Student Affairs & Division, MYUM, Siswamail and notice boards of respective Faculties / Academies / Centres, Residential Colleges and the General Office of the Student Affairs Division.
2. To manage applications and offers of scholarships / loans including collection and inspection of documents, interviews, meetings and briefings.
3. To manage applications for extension and cancellation of scholarships / loans.
4. To manage student claims for practical training allowance, flight ticket and thesis allowance where appropriate.
5. To coordinate programmes for students in financial management conducted by agencies such as Permodalan Nasional Berhad, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) and Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK).
